The Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation and Animal Sanctuary was created to honor and remember Catherine’s life - which was taken at the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. The sanctuary is being built as a place where all creatures will know they are safe and people are kind, just as Catherine would have wanted.

To raise money for the sanctuary, the foundation puts on an annual gala every year—this years theme being storytelling. This is the concept and illustration I came up with for the design of the event, pulling inspiration from classic children’s book illustrations.
